Paintings

The largest group in the collection consists of works by Genoese artists working between the 16th and 18th century, the result of the attention of generous patrons about the centuries of Genoa’s “great artistic age”, and includes masterpieces by Cambiaso, Strozzi, Fiasella, De Ferrari, Domenico and Pellegro Piola, and Biscaino. There are also significant examples of the artistic output between the 19th and 20th century, with paintings by Rayper, D’Andrade, De Avendano, Merello, Cominetti, and Nomellini.
